From the Warth-Schröcken ski area to Ski Arlberg

Many years ago, long before today’s freerider generation took over the off-piste scene, local priest Johann Müller skied from Warth to Lech. The year was 1894. For many years our Tannberg pass area, a real pearl of unspoilt alpine beauty, remained well off the tourist trail. All this time the genuine welcome and traditional hospitality they received here made visitors feel very much at home. And now Warth-Schröcken is your snow-covered gateway to the phenomenal Ski Arlberg region.

Ski-in Ski-out in Hotel Walserberg

Your ski holiday begins right outside the hotel. The bottom station of the Dorfbahn cable car up to the Warth-Schröcken ski area is situated opposite the hotel within easy walking distance. It’s a real insider tip for enjoying winter on the Arlberg first hand. Up on the Salober you can soak up the sun on the wide ski pistes and enjoy some fabulous mountain views before venturing further. If you haven’t yet had your fill of snow-covered slopes and ski runs, you can board the Auenfeldjet – the cable car link to Lech-Zürs. From here the Flexenbahn lift takes you in the blink of an eye over to the Tyrolean side of the Arlberg to St. Christoph, Stuben and St. Anton. 305 kilometres of piste and 200 kilometres of off-piste powder runs are accessible thanks to Ski-in Ski-out. Can skiing get any better than this?

IMPORTANT: When planning your day please take careful note of the schedules and closing times of the cable cars you need to get back home! The road between Warth and Lech is closed throughout the winter. After the lifts have closed, the only possible way back to the hotel in Warth is an extremely long and expensive taxi ride via the Bregenzerwald.
